Software Company develops software in AWS on behalf of multiple companies. Their developers and DevOps people need Secure Shell (SSH) access to servers in multiple AWS virtual private clouds (VPCs). Since they work for multiple customers, they need strong proactive controls for both security and audit. They use New Edge to manage and audit developer access to each VPC and each server. They are able to do this transparently without adding any new steps to the process or requiring changes to the tools used by their customers.
After installing a New Edge Publisher in each customer's VPC, developers continue to get SSH access to servers using the tools they are already familiar with. Access to the SSH port on a server or a range of servers is secured and restricted to only authorized developers from authorized machines. Security is unobtrusive and all access is logged.
